Garden Princess
This is a card I have made in the Nature Garden collection by Jodie Lee & I am very happy with the way she turned out. The purple color adds a nice shadow that really makes her look mysterious and I really think this is a fun way to make cards that is not only has dimension but a bit of little layers. I hope you like what I have made and this was a lot of fun to make.

My friends in "black and white" . . .

Please join the fun as Scrap Around the world to play in their monthly challenge at: http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.com/2013/09/september-2013-challenge-5-bold-graphic.html
I am playing along with Scrap Around the World & want to tell you about my love of "Black & White" originates from early childhood while discovering silent movies with Charlie Chan & Charlie Chaplin as a young movie bug. I chose to weave layers behind the picture representing friendship memories interwoven together. The flower near the angel was blue that I distressed with Tim Holtz black soot along with white ink for the seems of the flower. This smaller flower represents their youth, & the various numbers are their ages and the angel represents some have passed away. This is a memorial to my very dear friends and I feel my layout is a great tribute them.

The black and white theme allowed my feelings to emerge as a new artist and to morn in a healthy way through my art and vision. The layering techniques are inspired by Limor Webber. In this piece I added black glitter to the surface of modeling paste and splattered white gesso for spots of light. I also used a bit of tattered angels iridescent gold for dimension along with craft sand to add background texture. I enjoyed playing with the black and white dimensions that flow easily with this combination. Gale Price is a genius for choosing such great pictures in the mood board and the layout was fun to work with.

Friends leave footprints in our heart & the memories are timeless as black and white, but truly unforgettable. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Shabby Chic Cigar Box
Recently, word went out about the web that Discount Paper Crafts is looking for a couple of designers. Well my ears went a flutter, & my crafting dance went on through the night as I picked these sweet papers from the Sunrise Sunset collection. I absolutely love these papers from Cathie's shop & my creation of this shabby chic box. The papers that Cathie carries at her store are so awesome & she has all the new junk yard findings along with her "Sweet Deals Clearance", where there are goodies galore. Even if I don't make the team I rendered a great savings & tons of goodies to craft & share.
The list of items I used were: Prima Sunrise Sunset A4 Pad
Melissa Francis Laces & boarders
Prima Flowers, Junkyard findings, & Chipboard clock
May Arts Twine
Graphic 45 Lady
Chipboard pieces doves & frame accented with
Tattered Angels Glimmer mist (Mel’s Diner, Vintage Pink & Jingle Bells *Yellow

Creating Art Journal
Greetings artists, scrapping enthusiasts, and friends. I had to share my new art journal piece that I really was not sure how it would turn out. Even though it was for a contest I wound up realizing after looking at it that it's not about winning, but making something that you enjoy looking at. I am really happy with the final result. In addition, I was able to enter Tresor Delux monthly challenge and had a great time making a tag that actually turned out nice. By the way Tresor Delux has amazing laces. Hope you like what I have created. Next on my agenda is to try uploading a U-tube to try a bit of camera work. Please wish me luck as I know the ladies in the community are some of the most talented people, because they have taught me most of what I have learned up until now. thanks for stoppin by & have a great day making something new or finishing a project that has been on your to-do-list.
