I am playing along with Scrap Around the World & want to tell you about my love of "Black & White" originates from early childhood while discovering silent movies with Charlie Chan & Charlie Chaplin as a young movie bug. I chose to weave layers behind the picture representing friendship memories interwoven together. The flower near the angel was blue that I distressed with Tim Holtz black soot along with white ink for the seems of the flower. This smaller flower represents their youth, & the various numbers are their ages and the angel represents some have passed away. This is a memorial to my very dear friends and I feel my layout is a great tribute them.

The black and white theme allowed my feelings to emerge as a new artist and to morn in a healthy way through my art and vision. The layering techniques are inspired by Limor Webber. In this piece I added black glitter to the surface of modeling paste and splattered white gesso for spots of light. I also used a bit of tattered angels iridescent gold for dimension along with craft sand to add background texture. I enjoyed playing with the black and white dimensions that flow easily with this combination. Gale Price is a genius for choosing such great pictures in the mood board and the layout was fun to work with.

Friends leave footprints in our heart & the memories are timeless as black and white, but truly unforgettable. Thank you so much for stopping by!
